Req. Training for Commercial & Private Applicators
ATTN: If you are a NC Pesticide License holder, please read below about an important requirement that must be met this year.
There is a new requirement for those who hold a pesticide license. This is for commercial and private applicators. The Required Pesticide Certification & Training (C&T) Update Training isa mandatory, one-time instructional requirement for current pesticide applicators to comply with updated federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
Please note that this is a 1-hour mandatory requirement, and you must complete this training by your specific recertification deadline. Failure to complete the required training will result in the LOSS of your pesticide certification. For example, in North Carolina, it is June 30th for commercial applicators and September 30th for private applicators in the year of your current certification.
There are two ways you can complete the training:
- Online by clicking HERE. View the one-hour training video, then click on link next to the video to submit your information to the NCDA&CS Structural Pest Control and Pesticides Division. (Note: you MUST complete the training video in its entirety before submitting your information.)
- View video in person on Tuesday, March 3rd from 9am to 10am at The Maxwell Center (3114 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro). Video will be shown by Wayne County Cooperative Extension. Although not required, we do ask you sign up to let us know how many plan to attend. You can e-mail at Jessica_Strickland@ncsu.edu or call my phone line at 919-731-1522 (please leave message to RSVP if don’t answer).
Feel free to reach out with any questions.
